Dry skin
Intensely hydrates the skin
Healthy skin is smooth, soft, and supple. It has a natural barrier that protects against moisture loss and prevents the ingress of foreign substances. To achieve this, small horny scales are arranged in several layers, one on top of the other, and are held together by the cement-like substance formed by the epidermis itself. The natural moisturizing factor (NMF) ensures that the stratum corneum does not dry out. It consists of hydrophilic and moisture-binding substances. Together with hydrophilic lipids, it forms what is called the hydrolipidic film and maintains the skin's moisture content. The quality of the hydrolipidic film is influenced by both internal factors (e.g., nutrition, hormone levels) and external factors (e.g., climate, aggressive cleansing agents). The latter can affect the hydrolipidic film to the point of causing visibly dry skin.
Depending on the characteristics, a distinction can be made between the following two forms of dry skin:
- Dry skin is deficient in lipids due to decreased sebum production. This lack of lipids weakens the hydrolipidic film, which protects against dehydration and bacterial infestation.
- Dry skin lacking moisture: The skin usually produces enough lipids, but is lacking in moisture due to the lack of the moisturizing factor.
Careful use of lipoprotein-forming and moisture-binding active ingredients is very important to keep the skin dry and elastic. DRY SKIN It is the series of cosmeceuticals specific for this type of skin.
The products gently strengthen the skin's physiological barrier with their modern active ingredients and strengthen the hydrolipidic film.
Regular use withDRY SKINIt makes dry skin smooth and elastic and strengthens its natural film to protect it from external influences.
